Maloma Colliery Empowers Future Generations with E100,000 Contribution to Schools

Maloma Colliery has reaffirmed its commitment to uplifting local communities by contributing E100,000 towards providing school shoes and sanitary pads for learners in the three chiefdoms where the mine operates—Mngometulu, Dlamini, and Mamba. This initiative ensures an equitable distribution of essential resources to primary school learners, promoting dignity, confidence, and access to education.

Recognizing the importance of collective effort, the initiative was further bolstered by contributions from Transship, Canterbury, and Nisela Farms, bringing the total funding to E160,000. These generous contributions highlight a shared dedication to improving the well-being of young learners and fostering a brighter future for the Kingdom of Eswatini.

As a mine dedicated to the people of Eswatini, Maloma Colliery remains steadfast in its commitment to corporate social responsibility. This initiative aligns with the company’s broader vision of supporting education, health, and community development. By addressing fundamental needs such as proper footwear and menstrual hygiene, Maloma Colliery and its partners are not only easing financial burdens on families but also ensuring that children can attend school with confidence and dignity.

The impact of such contributions extends far beyond the immediate beneficiaries, strengthening the foundation for an educated and empowered generation. Maloma Colliery remains devoted to fostering sustainable community growth and will continue to seek meaningful ways to make a difference in the lives of emaSwati.
